"As an 11 year-old boy held captive at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp during World War II, Moshe Peer was sent to the gas chamber at least six times. Each time he survived, watching with horrors as many of the women and children gassed with him collapsed and died. To this day, Peer doesn't know how he was able to survive. "Maybe children resist better, I don't know," he said in an interview last week."

CAN we wish for any better definition of Real History than its very antithesis? Flemish TV aired on Tuesday April 24, 2001 the BBC documentary on ASSHOL-member Benjamin Wilkomirski, "Child of the death camp", with this memorable quote from Israel Gutman, Yad Vashem director and sworn enemy of historian David Irving:

"According to Israel Gutman, director of Yad Vashem and Holocaust lecturer at the Hebrew University, himself an Auschwitz survivor, it is of little importance whether the book is a fabrication or not. »Wilkomirksi is no swindler. He is someone who has experienced very intensely this story, right from the bottom of his soul. Whether he spent the war in a Swiss chalet or a concentration camp is not relevant. Wilkomirki is a Holocaust survivor because his pain is authentic.«"
