(IsraelNN.com) MK (Labor) Colette Avital told members of the Knesset Finance Committee that cutting the immigration & absorption budget would result in less immigrants opting to make Israel their new home. Avital explained that Germany is currently offering a more attractive package to potential immigrants from the CIS and an additional cut to the immigration assistance package in Israel could significantly harm future immigration.

According to Avital and Jewish Agency for Israel officials, during the past two years, 100,000 Jews from the CIS opted to move to Germany instead of Israel.

Avital, who chairs the Knesset Immigration Committee told Finance Committee members that Germany's immigration package is five times more attractive and the current trend will result in less immigration to Israel.

Jewish Agency Treasurer Shai Hermesh called on committee members not to approve cuts in immigration and mortgage assistance, concurring with Avital's warning that doing so would result in less immigration to Israel.

How wonderful Jews are

How can Jews live amongst a nation which has recently murdered six million of their people? (In normal conditions no one can live in a house belonging to the murderer of one's parents)

How wonderful Jews are, that they can accept financial payments for crimes so horrendous, committed on them, that they continue to live amongst the Germans without any apparent psychological damage. For this reason they have had to write the book of reconciliation as an illumination of forgiveness to the whole world - an example to us all.

What seriously worries most thinking gentiles and Torah true Jews is the lack of international and national will to warn the remaining Jews in Germany and the immigrating Jews into the heartland  where the danger lurks which was recently discovered by Prof. Daniel J. Goldhagen - an eminent Harvard scholar.

Goldhagen was officially awarded the German "Democracy Prize of 1997" (embellished by 10.000 Deutsch Marks) by the then German Chancellor Helmut Kohl for this discovery. But despite the high level of awareness no attempt or effort has ever been made to warn and protect all Jews of the deadly peril which surrounds them in Germany.

We beg the Israeli government that the hundreds of thousands of innocent new Jewish immigrants from the East - heading for Germany every year - should be diverted to the promised land of Israel.

We do not understand this Jewish psychology and are troubled by modern Jewish communities, who knowing all the facts of the holocaust and especially following Goldhagen's recent discovery, are still not heading for Israel but for Germany.
