ZUNDEL AND RUDOLF: SHINING STARS AMONG THE GLOOM

As subscribers to this Internet newsletter are already aware, the revisionist movement is in a very sad, dismal state. Internal strife racks the movement and threatens to severely weaken it. Two of its major figures--Ernst Zundel and Germar Rudolf--now face possible deportation to Germany where they would be subject to stiff prison sentences.

With this in mind, I couldn't help but sit back and reflect on my involvement with these two giants of the revisionist movement.

Around 1987, after studying the mainstream Holocaust literature and revisionist historiography, I came to the conclusion that, yes, the revisionists

were mostly correct--there are a lot of false claims in the traditional Holocaust story, and it is being used as an ideological battering ram againstthe non-Jewish world. Specifically, white Europeans (especially Germans),Christians and Palestinian Arabs are among the chief victims of this damaging Holocaust propaganda, and Jewish Zionists are among the chief beneficiaries. I then came to the realization that it was in the best interests of Western Civilization, peace and justice in the Middle East, and the cause of truth in history if the facts of Holocaust revisionism were spread throughout the world.

So, with a strong desire to spread the truths of Holocaust revisionism to the general populace, I set out for Toronto, Canada in the summer of 1987 to meet Ernst Zundel and see if I could help him. In August of 1987 I served as Ernst's bodyguard at an important demonstration. Our big picture together made the pages of an important Canadian newspaper, and I was internally proud that I was doing my small part in helping Ernst bring truth to the people about this most important issue.

Over the years I have observed and studied Ernst Zundel, and I have always been amazed at this man's courage, organizational ability, moralintegrity, and above all his honesty. Yes, in this age of moral corruption and dishonesty, Ernst Zundel stands in my mind as a model of honesty and integrity. He has always used the donations of his supporters in an honest and wise manner.

I have a similar assessment of Germar Rudolf. I began corresponding Germar around 2000, and I have always been impressed by this man's incrediblework ethic, his courage, his intellect, and once again, his moral integrity. I wrote papers for his intellectual journal, The Revisionist, and it will be a big blow to the revisionist movement if it disappears because of his possible deportation to Germany.

Make no mistake about it. If Zundel and Rudolf are ultimately deported to prison cells in Germany, it will be a terrible tragedy for the revisionist movement and the cause of truth in history, and I personally will be very upset about it. I consider it an honor to have served with both of these outstanding Germans.

One must not forget, however, that there may be a more positive way to view this. History shows that when you persecute the innocent leaders of a political or religious movement, martyrs are thereby created. These martyrsthen serve as great moral beacons to inspire future generations to take up the cause and fight on.

We can view Ernst Zundel and Germar Rudolf in this manner--moral beacons or shining stars among the gloom. They will serve as good examples for other revisionists to follow.

Because the cases of Zundel and Rudolf are still pending, this is all I will say about the matter at this time.
